The Committee has drafted an engaging program of panels, presentations, and networking sessions to help young professionals strengthen their leadership and technical skills and advance their water industry careers. This year’s program will focus on One Water, a holistic and collaborative approach to water management. NEWEA’s Young Professionals Chair, Daryl Coppola, will kick off the program with opening remarks, followed by an “Intro to Networking” session. The keynote session will begin with an overview of and introduction to the One Water concept, followed by presentations from experts working in the drinking water, stormwater, and clean water sectors.

After lunch, attendees will hear from two panels consisting of professionals from across the water industry. The first panel will feature operators who work in both drinking water and clean water and will focus on water system operations. The second panel will feature professionals representing a variety of career paths within the water industry and will center on providing advice to YPs on navigating their own career paths. The afternoon portion of the program will also recognize graduating mentors and mentees from our 2023 Mentoring Program and feature the return of the always-popular Meme Contest. The Summit will wrap up with closing remarks from NEWEA and NEWWA’s presidents.

Following the completion of the program, attendees are invited to enjoy a reception, which will be attended by experienced water industry professionals and members of NEWEA and NEWWA’s Executive Committees.
