Frequently Asked Registration Questions

General

Q. What are the dates of this year’s NEWEA Annual Conference?
A. January 26 and 28, February 2 and 4, 2021

Q. Where will the NEWEA Annual Conference take place?
A. NEWEA’s Annual Conference is taking place entirely virtually in 2021. Registered attendees will receive login credentials and a link to our virtual platform prior to the conference.

Q.  How do I participate in the Conference?
The Conference will be hosted online through a virtual event platform called PheedLoop. A week before the Conference begins, you’ll receive an email from us with unique login credentials to access the virtual event, where you will be able to personalize your profile, view sessions and speakers, and curate your virtual schedule.

Q. How will a typical Conference day look?
Expect approximately 4 hours of programming each day. You’ll hear from industry leaders, engage in meaningful discussion with colleagues, and watch never-before-seen sessions. If you miss a session, many will be available to watch later on-demand. We know the demands of an online conference are different than those of in-person events, so rest assured we’ll have scheduled breaks and opportunities for you to process. View Schedule here >>

Q. Will I be able to connect with fellow Conference attendees?
The PheedLoop platform offers the ability to search under the Networking tab by name or organization.  You can connect with attendees in real time over private message or one-on-one video call within PheedLoop. All sessions allow attendees to see who else is in attendance and to chat with fellow attendees individually or in the group chat. The virtual marketplace, Exhibit Hall, allows you to see who’s in your virtual booth and to initiate one-on-one conversations.

Q. How should I prepare for the Conference?
Just as an in-person conference, schedule time off in your calendar to attend the virtual conference.  Check out the conference program to make a plan which sessions and forums you are interested in attending.  Join us for the PreLaunch Event on Friday, January 22nd to familiarize yourself with the platform, create your schedule and update your online profile.  To make the most of your virtual experience, watch our PheedLoop tutorials to familiarize yourself with the platform.
